Maybe, We Don’t Need Endfield in Indonesian (Joke)

Just gonna say it bluntly, Endfield doesn’t need Indonesian localization.

For what, exactly? Does it even important? Do we have the same scope and concept of fiction as English or Mandarin do in Indonesian?

We know the certainty of them using AI for localization. And we must know that there’s a certainty that they doesn’t even bother to be excel at language outside of the four main languages.

For most of us, who take a grasp of the world of fiction mainly in English, don’t need a layer of localization even more. For them, they won’t bother to understand us better anyway.

Using AI and doesn’t check the quality back before releasing it is a bad practice. But we, as Indonesian speakers also don’t want to expand the possibilities of our own language by just keep relying on foreign terms on fiction from time to time. And if you say that they just have to keep the original terms too much, does that also defeat the purpose of translation anyway?

Maybe there’s no big hope for Indonesian to be better at adapted foreign fiction and literature. Indonesian is just a simplified and modernized dialect of Malay and just about to hit 100 years. But then I realized why would we need to improvise it because our country is in shambles anyway.

But you still got a choice to make, use the English version from today. Or learn Mandarin and use it instead so you don’t have to worry about the meaning discrepancies along the way. Sounds good, right? You don’t have to scratch your head every now and then to just decipher and accept the words in our own mother tongue.

P.S.: This post is partially a joke and just a mere of expression of my own frustration I have been dealing with the current situation because we don’t have an exact solution to this problem, not in a distant future, I think. Anyone from GRYPHLINE who read this, please take some consideration afterwards.
