Here's some rant again about alternative softwares. An indirect reply to [this post](https://framapiaf.org/@boud/115127640174416651).

Telling us, Indonesians, especially the norm to use alternative is SO HARD. Like, so damn hard. Knowing how to use it feels like a privilege to most of us. It's so lucky if one of you can use the alternative and even stay sane in the society. The access to the knowledge of computer and tech is actually bare minimum here. Good things if they can use whatever available and easy to use to them.

In this time of day, during the protest in Indonesia, if I tell them to use Mastodon or Bluesky, I feel kinda egoistic to them. I said it on [this post](https://pico.ufal.my.id/2025/08/30/445/) (in Indonesian). And for Cryptpad, my friend who helped me on my seminar had a problem accessing the instance I use. The seminar was held online, we are not in the same place, so I don't think guiding her to fix the problem would be great. It's hard, you know.
